It's the simple solution
How FME helps the Architecture, Engineering & Construction
Data silos, manual workflows, the complexity of sharing and accessing data; the issues that hinder operational efficiency in AEC projects are many and varied. But in FME you have a solution that can solve all these issues and more, by integrating data and allowing your teams to plan, design, build and operate better.
Improve Stakeholder Engagement
Data silos, manual workflows, the complexity of sharing and accessing data; the issues that hinder operational efficiency in AEC projects are many and varied. But in FME you have a solution that can solve all these issues and more, by integrating data and allowing your teams to plan, design, build and operate better.
Streamline Project Workflows
Integrate large datasets like BIM, CAD and GIS with automated data transformation workflows, and save the vast resources normally required to complete repetitive, manual tasks. From point clouds for 3D modeling to drone photography for project monitoring, automated workflows drive serious efficiencies.
Maintain Data Integrity
With repeatable workflows able to be scheduled or automatically triggered, QA/QC and data validation tasks can be completed before you even begin work. When these tasks are completed, automated status updates can be sent to all stakeholders to keep everyone updated and informed.
Enhance Collaboration
Data coordination is crucial within multidisciplinary teams. Integrate data from interior designers, urban planners, engineers, and surveyors. By working from a centralised database and removing traditional accessibility barriers, stakeholders can engage and collaborate more effectively.
Mitigate Risks
Test your designs and survey sites in the virtual world to increase efficiency, quality and safety in the real world. With 2D and 3D visualisation you can plan and monitor construction progress, enhance the design and safety of built environments, and even create training simulations.
Smart City Design
With modern cities increasingly incorporating IoT technologies into their environments, FME can be used to integrate sensor data and building management systems to create digital twins. These virtual representations make monitoring asset performance and forecasting maintenance activities a cinch.
Customers Story
EthosUrban
We use FME Server to grant EthosUrban, an Australian urban planning and design consultancy, access to the latest policy and planning rules from the websites of local and state authorities. These updates had previously been difficult to collate, being disparately posted across government websites and public notices. The cost of missing an important change could be significant, both in the property portfolios of current clients, and in missed opportunities for new business. We used FME to connect hundreds of data stores and websites, to track, pull, format and deliver policy and planning changes to EthosUrban. Thus ensuring the company’s policy analysts are made aware of every change, and are able to provide the finest and most up-to-date recommendations to their clients.
